* 1 pound sugar snap peas, strings removed
* 3 tablespoons butter
* 3 tablespoons honey
* Salt and ground black pepper
Directions:
Place a small pot of water over high heat to boil. When the water comes up to a boil, drop the peas and boil until bright green and tender, about 1 minute.
Drain the peas and return them to the pan. Place the pan over medium heat and add the butter, honey, some salt and pepper. Toss to melt the butter and honey.

The honey snap peas is an interesting one... I love sugar snap peas but I don't know if I would like them cooked! I like em super crisp and cold! but damn... the honey idea is awesome... I wonder if I could just throw them (raw) in a skillet with a bit of butter and honey and just cook it long enough for the honey and butter to melt and maybe keep more of the crispness of the pods?
ReplyDeleteblanching them for a few seconds shouldn't make them to soft as long as you don't saute them for too long.
